Drinking Himself to Death

He’s drinking himself to death
He’s lost his will to live
He’s taken all that he could take
And he has nothing left to give

His parents pressured him so much
He slaved for them every single day
They took hostage of him at home
There was nothing he could do or say

All the demands were unspoken
Their expectations cut so deep
And he started having nightmares
That woke him from his light sleep

Now he’s drinking himself to death
And pushing his wife and kids away
What was once so golden
Has become a dark shade of gray
The boy in him no longer wants to play

All the demands were unspoken
What he now feels is what they feel
Nobody wants to save him now
As he’s drifting behind the wheel
He’s drinking himself to death
And headed for a curve
There’s no chance in hell the truck he’s headed for will swerve.
There’s no chance in hell the truck he’s headed for will swerve.

It’s obvious what this is about and why to me. RIP George Petroutsas.
