Sweet Oahu

V1:

Way back in August of 2002
We went on our honeymoon
To an island far from LA
It was the perfect getaway

We met Don Ho and his family
We walked a lot by the sea
Took a cruise out on the ocean
Covered each other with lotion

Chorus:

Sweet Oahu
We so enjoyed it there
It’s where we didn’t have a care
Where we relaxed and took in some rays
Where we’d wear our Hawaiian flower leis
Where we’d kiss & watch the sunsets
Where life is as good as it ever gets
Where we had no major plans or stress
Where it was ok to not have anything to do
Sweet Oahu, we loved you
We loved you, We loved you.

V2:

We’ve haven’t been back for years
But we still have our souvenirs
And remember everything we did
We also had a couple of kids

Got through love’s rougher waves
Like we promised on our wedding day
Now we’re ready to take another vacay
To take our girls to Honolulu Bay

Chorus:

Sweet Oahu
We so enjoyed it there
Where we didn’t have a care
Where we relaxed & took in some rays
Where we’d wear our Hawaiian flower leis
Where we’d kiss & watch the sunsets
Where life is as good as it ever gets
Where we had no major plans or stress
Where it was ok to not have anything to do
Sweet Oahu, we loved you

Bridge:

I can’t wait to see their laughing faces
when we show them all our favorite places
Where they’ll play in the Hawaiian Village pool
Where they’ll forget ’bout going back to school….

Chorus:

Sweet Oahu
We so enjoyed it there
Where we didn’t have a care
Where we relaxed & took in some rays
Where we’d wear our Hawaiian flower leis
Where we’d kiss & watch the sunsets
Where life is as good as it ever gets
Where we had no major plans or stress
Where it was ok to not have anything to do
Sweet Oahu, we love you
We love you, We love you
